Our Founder
George Brooks (born February 21, 1978) is the founder and CEO of Metta Association, a non-profit organization that advocates for the mentally ill and works toward the well-being and recovery of those impacted by mental illness. Having been affected by mental illness has given him the insight and the drive to focus on his passion for helping others. As a result, he strives to combat the stigma that is often associated with mental illness through education and spreading awareness.

To advance human rights and diminish stigma via service, advocacy, education, and enlightenment thereby improving the community and individuals affected and impacted by mental illness.
Our Vision
Metta Association visualizes a community where persons impacted by mental illness have access to the services and resources necessary for their overall health, recovery, and quality of life.
Our Philosophy
We believe that you have to "open the door before you can open your arms." The betterment of individuals impacted by mental illness is attained through operating daily by these core values.
